RECAP
Roborgs Like to Samba: Miho Hatori. Troubador, West Hollywood. Feb 09, 2007.

Gold stars for Miho!! She was cute, charming and fascinating, injecting bits of stories that inspired her latest album, Ecdysis, between songs. Below, my favorite track of the evening, Barracuda.

Young People Need to Dance: Busdriver and Daedelus. The Airliner, Lincoln Heights. Feb 07, 2007.

First up, I'm gonna give the big up to Daedelus. In short, he was brilliantly fun. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly moved throughout his entire set: quirky, melodic, sweet, and bodyrocking at once. If you haven't already, check him out at the link below.
Busdriver delivered an ecclectic set of mostly new tracks. The suprise cover/revision of One Step Beyond was especially nice.
Now if only the rest of the crowd could feel the music more often.

RECAP
Heaven & Hell: Lily Allen. Henry Fonda Theater, Hollywood. Feb 05, 2007.

Yo! Gotta apologize, cuz I was basically fucked from the get go: I mean there's no way I could ever compete with 17 year old girls going apeshit over the Lily. Hair here, underage lushes there, and young Bambis checking out their first concerts everywhere. Still, that girl is way too charming and cool, that it was absolutely worth the bashing.
Though I did feel like that dirty old man standing there doing nothing except blocking my view through two songs, but not really cuz at least I was dancing.
