Yo! We're in Austin!!
Before we head into all the craziness, my buddy Ben shot over a quick recap for Monday night's
The Sword show at the Troubador:

"Monday night in L.A., heading to the The Sword at The Troubadour. I was thrust back to 1988, heading to a T.S.O.L show at the same venue ( or was it the Quasar and the Bamboozled/Gwendolyn experience, the last time I was there? ). I like Metal, but bands of late have seriously let me down - until I heard The Sword last year. Not since The Melvins or Kyuss have been so impressed with the sonic intensity as The Sword. Needless to say, I was keen to hear them live.
Was not disappointed. It was loud, but not stupid loud. The tone emanated from the vintage gear was thick and satisfying - like a nitro top fuel dragster. They consummately blasted through set, interspersing new material between songs from their 2006 release 'Age of Winters' ( Kemado Records ). The Sword possess an unusual combination musical prowess, lyrics derived from Norse mythology, and that Texan lack of pretense. It's all there."
RAD SHIT!
